Priorities for the Next Legislative Session

Indiana's priorities must reflect what we want best for the next generation. Most of Julie's bills come directly from people in our district who bring ideas that will make Indiana better tomorrow. A proven legislator who has the General Assembly relationships to make things happen.

1. Focus on pro-growth economic development policies to strengthen our working families and business community
2. Continued funding increases for PreK - 12 classrooms
3. Skill up the workforce to help funnel workers to the trades, nursing, logistics, etc.
4. Expand health care access, reduce costs, and keep telehealth and telemedicine options
5. Improve Mental Health - Indiana's behavioral health system
6. Stop sexual assault crimes, one is reported in our paper everyday
7. Continue to support and vote for union policies - always has

Significant Votes Highlighted

Worked on twelve (12) new laws to fight Human Trafficking, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence including:
- Doubled funding to $5M per year for Domestic Violence programs
- $1M per year first time ever funding for Sexual Assault programs
- Funding for 211 call line with expanded programs including domestic violence
- Giving missing & trafficked children under 18 special immunity provisions
- Expanded statute of limitations for rape when new DNA evidence is found
- No More Secrets initiative to educate our students and rescue those abused. Over 75 children to date have come forward.
- Gave college campus students confidentially when reporting incidents
